What newborns use in the first few weeks
In the early days, practicality outweighs variety. Easy-open bodysuits, pants and jumpsuits simplify frequent changes and help maintain a predictable rotation. Soft fabrics, comfortable seams and pieces that don't need to go over your head are more useful criteria than elaborate sets.
Mouth and shoulder cloths appear in greater quantities because they circulate between feedings, lap, purse and washing. Hygiene products should start with a small stock: the adaptation of the baby's skin is individual, and buying many units before testing can generate waste.
